SUPPER FLOOD 2010 RESCUE & RELIF OPERATION
1. Sindh Boy Scouts Association issued a circular In the Flood affected areas District the Boy Scout Association render their affective services to help the District Administration at all levels.
2. Sindh Boy Scouts Association has established a Control Room at Provincial Headquarters, Sindh Boy Scouts Association, Karachi. The Brief description of Scouts Rescue and Relief Services are.
The Sindh Boy Scouts Association pursuant to directives to the scouts units in Sindh has launched Relief operation in Flood affected areas rendering their volunteer services for Flood affected people with the co-operation of District Administration and other Agencies.
Acting Provincial Secretary with the approval of Provincial Commissioner, Mr. Rizwan Memon, issued a circular to activate the District Boy Scouts Associations in Sindh Province. in the flood affected Districts, to render their services and help the District Administration in meeting the flood devastation.
150 Scouts and Rovers of District Boy Scouts Association, Khairpur started their volunteer services from 4th August, 2010. They participated in rescue operation with District Administration and Pakistan Army. Still they are rending their volunteer services in the Relief Camps arranged by the District Administration. Karachi City District Boys Scouts Association
The Sindh Boy Scouts Association,City District Karachi ,Scouts Commissioners,E.D.O Edu: Mr. Muhammad Ibrahim Kumber & District Scout Secretary Mr. Muhammad Taqi with the leaders of scout rendering services to IDP’s of various affected areas of Sindh who are kept in the school buildings of Karachi. Where 33 camps have been established. In these camps 66 scout leaders & many Scouts of City District Karachi are rendering their volunteer
services.
Karachi Open District Boys Scouts Association
lSindh Boy Scouts Association Karachi Open District is supporting a Relief Camp at Al-Muhsin Hall near Suhrab Goth, where 550 flood affected people are staying. Scouts of Karachi Open District are rendering Services in this Relief Camp. All the arrangements are made by the Scouts on self help basis.
A Contingent of 50 Rover Scouts of Karachi Open District is rendering volunteer services at Khaima Basti, Razakaabad created by City District Karachi.
The Scouts of Karachi Open District, Ismaili Scouts Districts and Private Schools District are collecting Relief Material, arranging the Relief Camps in various parts of Karachi City and depositing the collected material at Provincial Headquarters, Sindh Boy Scouts Association, Karachi for its onwards distribution in the Flood affected areas of Sindh.
lThe scouts of City District Karachi are delivering the Gift Packets of collected Relief Material to the affected people in Relief Camps at Karachi.
Hyderabad District Boy Scouts Association
At Hyderabad 34 Relief Camps have been established by Government where 50 Scouts are rendering their volunteer services. At various part of Hyderabad 75 Scouts are collecting Relief Material for the help of affected people through Sindh Boy Scouts Association.
Naushero Feroz District Boy Scouts Association
In the Naushero Feroz District 16 Relief Camps are established at Moro by the Government where in 32 Scouts are rendering volunteer services
Larkana District Boy Scouts Association
In Larkana District 18 Relief Camps have been established by the District Administration, where in 40 Scouts are rendering volunteer services where as 60 Scouts of Open Groups of Larkana are collecting Relief Material from various parts of the City and the same material are provided to the affected people in the Camps.
Jamshoro District Boy Scouts Association
In Jamshore District 30 Scouts are rendering volunteer services for affected people as well as in the Medical Camps.
Ghotki District Boy Scouts Association
In the Flood affected areas of District Ghotki 18 Scouts are rendering the volunteer services.
Sukkur District Boy Scouts Association
In help to provide food by the Edhi,16 Scouts are rendering volunteer services at Sukkur,Rohari and Pano Aqil.
